In May 2023, the RGE will organize together with the Portuguese Glial Network a satellite symposium within the FENS Regional Meeting of Algarve.

Euroglia: Two important milestones of the RGE have been the organisation of the IV and XII European Meeting on Glial Cell Function in Health and Disease in Barcelona (24 - 27 May 2000) and Bilbao (15-18 July 2015) respectively. The Barcelona congress was attended by more than 500 participants and was supported by grants from the European Commission (High LevelScientificConferences HPCF-2000-00316 and Quality of Life& Management Living Resources QLG3-2000-30079). The Bilbao congress had more than 1100 participants and the programme included 150 talks and 650 posters. This congress was attended by more than 500 participants and was supported by grants from the European Commission (High LevelScientificConferences HPCF-2000-00316 and Quality of Life& Management Living Resources QLG3-2000-30079).
